Access Control Officer (Grade C)

The gate at a private school campus in Lephalale is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Lephalale. Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register

• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Physically fit for foot patrols

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
