Loss Prevention Officer (Distribution Centre) – Immediate Start

Retail in Midrand runs on thin margins, and a supermarket needs someone guarding its stock. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a supermarket in Midrand. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
• Share trends with the store manager each week
• Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
• Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
• Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors

• Good report writing
• Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
• Discreet, observant and honest
• PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
• Able to handle confrontation calmly
• Available for retail hours including month-end weekends

• Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
• Retail loss prevention course
• Experience giving evidence in court

• Staff discount at the retailer
