Job Description

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at a building-supplies store in Centurion. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a building-supplies store in Centurion. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Share trends with the store manager each week
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft

You'll need

Able to handle confrontation calmly
Discreet, observant and honest
Good report writing
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least

Nice if you have

Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
Retail loss prevention course
Experience giving evidence in court
