Job Description

Shrinkage hurts every electronics store; in Mokopane, you would be the one tracking it down. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Mokopane-based, with most of your time spent at an electronics store.

What you'll actually do

Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Share trends with the store manager each week
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy

Must-haves

Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
Discreet, observant and honest
Able to handle confrontation calmly
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4

Helpful, not essential

Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
Experience giving evidence in court
Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
