Job Description

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at a building-supplies store in Springs. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a building-supplies store on the Springs side of Gauteng. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots

Must-haves

Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Discreet, observant and honest
Good report writing
