Machine Assistant (Plastics Moulding)

Here in Boksburg, an industrial bakery needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is an industrial bakery on the Boksburg side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones

• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start

• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory

• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Path to machine operator after six months

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
