Job Description

Here in Khayelitsha, a soft drink bottling plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Khayelitsha (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers

Must-haves

Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
