Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in Paarl passes through your hands first. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Paarl, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule

• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
