Machine Operator (Catalytic Converter Plant) – Fixed-Term

Work on the line where every station counts, at the seat and interior trim plant in Krugersdorp. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The site is in Krugersdorp; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Load and unload robotic welding cells safely
• Assemble components at your station within the line cycle time
• Wear the correct PPE, including gloves, glasses and ear protection
• Rotate between stations as the team leader plans
• Keep your station clean using 5S rules
• Pull the andon cord when a defect or safety issue appears
• Check parts for defects before they go into the vehicle

• Good eyesight and hand coordination
• Lives close enough to reach the plant on time for every shift
• Can follow written and visual work instructions
• Able to pass a basic literacy and numeracy test

• Previous experience in an automotive plant
• Forklift licence for material handling

• Shift allowance and paid overtime
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Transport from nearby townships on some routes
• Learnership opportunities toward an artisan trade

• Put your maths and English marks on your CV. Plants often use them to screen before the assessment.
• Include any factory or line work you have done, even outside the car industry. It shows you can handle shift work.
