Job Description

The private school in Durban Central needs a reliable all-rounder to keep the buildings safe and looking good. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats
Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
Get quotes from outside contractors and let them in for bigger jobs
Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist

What you need

Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references

Nice if you have

Pool and borehole pump experience
Gate motor and intercom repair skills
