Maintenance Artisan (Shopping Centre) – Fixed-Term

You'll fix what breaks and prevent what might, around the shopping centre in Gqeberha. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a shopping centre in Gqeberha. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests

• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills

• Pool and borehole pump experience
• Experience with a work order system on a phone app

• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
