Maintenance Artisan (Shopping Centre) – Immediate Start

You'll fix what breaks and prevent what might, around the residential security estate in Mamelodi. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Mamelodi, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats
• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used

• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store

• Experience with a work order system on a phone app
• Pool and borehole pump experience
• Basic first aid certificate

• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
