Job Description

Handy with a drill, a paintbrush and a tap washer? The rental property portfolio in Prospecton has a list waiting for you. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

What you'll actually do

Get quotes from outside contractors and let them in for bigger jobs
Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant

You'll need

At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
Available for the occasional weekend emergency
Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills

On offer

Uniform and safety boots supplied
On-site accommodation at some estates
Meals on duty at hotel sites
