The rental property portfolio in Randburg needs a reliable all-rounder to keep the buildings safe and looking good. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a rental property portfolio on the Randburg side of Gauteng. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist

• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units

• Experience with a work order system on a phone app
• Basic first aid certificate
• Pool and borehole pump experience

• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Meals on duty at hotel sites

• Do not claim electrical work you are not licensed to sign off. Say "basic electrical, no DB work" instead.
• Write your CV as a skills list first: painting, tiling, plumbing, gate motors, pools. Managers scan for the skills their site needs.
