Maintenance Assistant (School Grounds & Buildings) – Entry Level

Every day is different here: small repairs, painting and planned maintenance at the private school in East London. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The site is in East London; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist

• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units

• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• On-site accommodation at some estates
