Maintenance Artisan (Shopping Centre)

You'll fix what breaks and prevent what might, around the private school in Gqeberha. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Gqeberha (Eastern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
• Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats
• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails

• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus

• Experience with a work order system on a phone app
• Basic first aid certificate

• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Meals on duty at hotel sites
