Job Description

Handy with a drill, a paintbrush and a tap washer? The city hotel in Kimberley has a list waiting for you. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a city hotel on the Kimberley side of Northern Cape. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats

You'll need

Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
Available for the occasional weekend emergency

Helpful, not essential

Basic first aid certificate
Experience with a work order system on a phone app
