Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing) – Immediate Start

Design it, build it, fix it: mechanical engineering work at the materials handling equipment manufacturer in Centurion. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a materials handling equipment manufacturer. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Run vibration, thermography and oil analysis programmes on critical equipment
• Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
• Mentor candidate engineers and artisans on technical problems
• Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current
• Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom
• Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners

• Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
• Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate, depending on level
• Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
• BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist roles

• Reliability or asset management certification
• Experience with SAP PM for maintenance
• Finite element analysis skills

• Study support for postgraduate courses
• Company laptop and CAD licences
• ECSA registration fees and CPD paid

• Show results in numbers: downtime cut by a percentage, savings in rand, or a project delivered on budget.
