Job Description

You'll keep the plant reliable and improve how it runs at the food and beverage factory in Durban Central. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Durban Central (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom
Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes
Design conveyors, chutes and structures in SolidWorks or Inventor
Mentor candidate engineers and artisans on technical problems
Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current

You'll need

Able to manage contractors and budgets
Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
Code 08 licence for site visits
