Job Description

Real machines, real budgets and real downtime targets at the materials handling equipment manufacturer in Epping. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a materials handling equipment manufacturer in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes
Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom
Run vibration, thermography and oil analysis programmes on critical equipment
Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
Mentor candidate engineers and artisans on technical problems

What you need

Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist roles
Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate, depending on level
Able to manage contractors and budgets

Helpful, not essential

Project management certificate
Finite element analysis skills
Experience with SAP PM for maintenance
