CAD Technician (AutoCAD & Revit)

The engineering design office in Brackenfell needs a draughtsperson who gets the dimensions right the first time. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at an engineering design office in Brackenfell. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Update drawings after engineer comments and track revisions
• Keep the drawing register current and issue drawings on time
• Draft civil layouts, longitudinal sections and cross sections for services
• Produce bills of materials from 3D models
• Draw general arrangements, details and fabrication drawings in AutoCAD or Inventor

• Neat and accurate, with a habit of checking your own work
• National Diploma or N6 in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a draughting qualification
• Good time planning when several projects need drawings at once
• Able to read engineers' mark-ups and ask the right questions
• Understanding of engineering drawing standards and tolerances
• At least 2 years working as a draughtsperson in your discipline

• Workshop or site background
• Experience with plant piping design software

• Two-screen workstation
• Hybrid work once you are settled in
