Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing)

Real machines, real budgets and real downtime targets at the paper and packaging mill in Lephalale. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Lephalale-based, with most of your time spent at a paper and packaging mill.

• Run vibration, thermography and oil analysis programmes on critical equipment
• Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners
• Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
• Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
• Mentor candidate engineers and artisans on technical problems
• Check pressure vessels for compliance with the Pressure Equipment Regulations and SANS 347

• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
• Able to manage contractors and budgets
• Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations

• ECSA registration fees and CPD paid
