Mathematics Teacher (FET Phase)

A low-fee private school in Kuruman needs a teacher who can hold a class and lift the marks. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Kuruman, Northern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Teach your allocated classes and keep the pace of the ATP
• Prepare Grade 12 learners for prelims and the NSC exams
• Attend staff meetings, subject meetings and district workshops
• Give extra lessons to learners who are falling behind
• Set, mark and moderate formal assessment tasks for the term

• You can manage a class of 35 or more without losing control
• Clear record on the National Register for Sex Offenders and a police clearance
• Full SACE registration (provisional registration only for student or newly qualified teachers)
• At least 1 year of classroom teaching, including teaching practice
• A B.Ed, or a degree plus PGCE, in the phase and subject you'll teach
