Job Description

Design it, build it, fix it: mechanical engineering work at the food and beverage factory in Fourways. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Fourways-based, with most of your time spent at a food and beverage factory.

What you'll actually do

Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Run vibration, thermography and oil analysis programmes on critical equipment
Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners
Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes
Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom
Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart

What you need

Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate, depending on level
BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist roles
Able to manage contractors and budgets
