Job Description

This engineering consultancy in Tembisa needs a mechanical engineer who is as comfortable on the plant floor as in the design office. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at an engineering consultancy in Tembisa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners
Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current
Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom

What you need

Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate, depending on level
Code 08 licence for site visits
Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations

Nice if you have

Experience with SAP PM for maintenance
Project management certificate
