Job Description

You'll keep the plant reliable and improve how it runs at the food and beverage factory in Randburg. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Randburg (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What your day looks like

Design conveyors, chutes and structures in SolidWorks or Inventor
Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes
Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners
Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom
Run vibration, thermography and oil analysis programmes on critical equipment

You'll need

Code 08 licence for site visits
Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
Able to manage contractors and budgets
BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist roles

Nice if you have

Government Certificate of Competency (Mechanical, Factories)
Experience with SAP PM for maintenance
Finite element analysis skills
