Mechanised Development Miner (Trackless) – Permanent

Have a blasting certificate and a clean safety record? The chrome and manganese mine near Middelburg (MP) needs your crew leadership. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Middelburg (MP); early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Charge up holes and connect initiation systems for the blast
• Test for flammable gas and check ventilation before and after blasting
• Clear the area, post guards and blast on time as the blasting certificate allows
• Bar down loose rock and install support to the section's support standard
• Do the early entry examination and make the workplace safe before the crew enters
• Hold a start-of-shift safety talk and deal with any unsafe condition

• At least 3 years underground, with at least 1 as a certificated miner
• No serious safety transgressions in your record
• Sound knowledge of your commodity's mining method and support standards
• Able to lead a crew of 8 to 20 people in a language they understand

• Shift Supervisor certificate or Mine Overseer learning
• Experience in trackless mechanised sections
• First aid certificate current
