Merchandiser (Grocery Rep Route) – Permanent

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a hardware and building store in Pietermaritzburg, so shoppers find what they came for. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)

• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Basic reading and maths for price checks

• Some till or cash-handling experience
• Own transport for route merchandising jobs

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
