Job Description

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a township shopping centre store in Pretoria West, so shoppers find what they came for. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Pretoria West (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

The work, day to day

Collect trolleys from the parking lot
Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars

What you need

Polite with customers and happy to help
Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
Neat appearance and punctual

Nice if you have

Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
Own transport for route merchandising jobs
