Merchandiser (Supermarket Route)

This pet food manufacturer needs a rep in Pinetown who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a pet food manufacturer in Pinetown. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.

• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles

• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position
• A sales or marketing certificate
• Existing relationships with independent retailers

• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
• Product samples and staff pricing

• Recruiters check your licence first, so attach a clear certified copy and note any clean driving record.
• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
