Job Description

The iron ore beneficiation plant near Mbombela needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is an iron ore beneficiation plant on the Mbombela side of Mpumalanga.

What you'll actually do

Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab
Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
Start up, run and shut down crushers, screens and conveyors in sequence

You'll need

Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science

Helpful, not essential

Control room experience
Laboratory or sampling experience
