Midibus Driver (School Routes)

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a staff transport contractor in Ballito is hiring bus drivers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Ballito. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Punctual for very early starts
• Clean driving and criminal record
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving

• Tour coach experience with charters
• Experience on mine or staff transport routes

• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters

• Company uniform
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal

• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
