Midibus Driver (School Routes)

Steady shift work with a tour and charter company in Somerset West for drivers with a passenger PrDP. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Somerset West-based, with most of your time spent at a tour and charter company. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits

• Punctual for very early starts
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Clean driving and criminal record

• Fluent in more than one language
• First-aid certificate

• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Company uniform

• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
