Midibus Driver (School Routes) – Permanent

You'll carry passengers safely around Worcester for a tour and charter company, on time and by the timetable. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Worcester-based, with most of your time spent at a tour and charter company. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters

• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Medically fit
• Clean driving and criminal record
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence

• Experience on mine or staff transport routes
• Fluent in more than one language
• Tour coach experience with charters

• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Company uniform
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal

• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
