Mine Bus Driver (Shift Transport)

You'll carry passengers safely around Pretoria West for a school transport operator, on time and by the timetable. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The work is in Pretoria West, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit

• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Medically fit
• Clean driving and criminal record
• Punctual for very early starts
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Patient and friendly with passengers

• Tour coach experience with charters
• Fluent in more than one language
• First-aid certificate

• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Company uniform

• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
