Mine Security Supervisor – Permanent

Officers look to you on every shift at a guarding contract across several sites in Bellville. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The site is in Bellville; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows

• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Available after hours for emergencies
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
• Own reliable vehicle
