Job Description

Officers look to you on every shift at a mining operation in Vereeniging. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Vereeniging-based, with most of your time spent at a mining operation.

The work, day to day

Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
Do surprise night visits to check posts

You'll need

Firm with staff but fair and consistent
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
Available after hours for emergencies
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)

Extra points for

Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
