Retail Security Officer (Clothing Store)

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at a building-supplies store in Isando. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

• Share trends with the store manager each week
• Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors
• Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
• Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
• Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement

• PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
• Good report writing
• Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
• Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act

• Experience giving evidence in court
• Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
