Step up from guarding into supervising on a guarding contract across several sites in Welkom. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a guarding contract across several sites on the Welkom side of Free State.

• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client

• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Available after hours for emergencies

• Management training for growth to operations manager

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
