Municipal Bus Driver (City Routes)

You'll carry passengers safely around Midrand for a tour and charter company, on time and by the timetable. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Midrand, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding

• Medically fit
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Clean driving and criminal record
• Punctual for very early starts
• Patient and friendly with passengers

• Experience on mine or staff transport routes
• Tour coach experience with charters
• First-aid certificate

• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Company uniform

• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
