Job Description

Passengers in Tembisa trust a staff transport contractor to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Tembisa, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked

You'll need

Medically fit
Clean driving and criminal record
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Punctual for very early starts
At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
Valid PrDP for passengers (P)

Extra points for

First-aid certificate
Tour coach experience with charters
Experience on mine or staff transport routes
