Night Auditor (City Hotel)

You'll handle check-ins, bookings and questions at a beach resort in Prospecton. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Prospecton-based, with most of your time spent at a beach resort.

• Quote flights, car hire and holiday packages on a GDS such as Amadeus or Galileo.
• Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.
• Run the night audit, close the day and print the flash report.
• Balance your cash float and card slips before handover.
• Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.

• You can work rotating shifts, including nights
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
• Matric
• Clear spoken and written English
• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system

• Amadeus or Galileo training for travel roles
• Opera PMS or Protel certificate

• Service charge share at some properties
• Night-shift allowance
• Paid system training in the first month
• Meals on duty and uniform supplied

• Hotels phone applicants to hear how they sound, so answer unknown numbers politely while you are job hunting.
