Occupational Trainer (Artisan Workshop) – Immediate Start

You'll train adult learners at an accredited training provider in Benoni and get them through their qualification. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Location: Benoni, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
• Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners

• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
• Own transport for training at client sites
• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Good report writing and record keeping
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults

• Teaching qualification or Higher Certificate in adult education
• Experience with QCTO occupational qualifications

• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
