Job Description

Stand in front of a class of adults at a manufacturing plant training room in Midrand and make the work make sense. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a manufacturing plant training room on the Midrand side of Gauteng. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

  • Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
  • Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
  • Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
  • Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
  • Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
  • Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
  • Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports

Must-haves

  • Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
  • Good report writing and record keeping
  • Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
