Job Description

Night or day, an armed response control room in Epping never switches off, and neither does your focus on shift. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in Epping; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Log every event and action on the monitoring software

You'll need

No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
Matric
Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher

Extra points for

Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
Call centre work in the past
