Job Description

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Brackenfell, and you move the stock in between. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a container unpacking yard on the Brackenfell side of Western Cape.

What you'll actually do

Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count

You'll need

Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Willing to travel on routes that return late
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
No criminal record
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

Nice if you have

Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
Basic furniture assembly skills
Past work as a driver's assistant
