Offloader (Container Depot)

You'll load and offload trucks at a furniture retailer warehouse in Upington so every delivery goes out full and correct. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Upington-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer warehouse.

• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first

• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• No criminal record
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
