Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a frozen-food distribution centre in Kimberley, and nobody minds if it's your first job. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Kimberley-based, with most of your time spent at a frozen-food distribution centre.

• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)

• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
