Job Description

An online tutoring platform in Durban Central needs a patient tutor who can turn a failing mark into a pass. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

  • Write a short progress note for parents after each session
  • Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners

  • TEFL or TESOL certificate for English tutoring

On offer

  • Work from home on online posts
  • Flexible hours you choose each week
  • Free training on the tutoring platform

Applying, step by step

  1. Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
  2. Keep copies of these ready to send: proof of current studies or completed qualification plus police clearance for tutoring children.
  3. Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
  4. Keep your phone on. Shortlisted applicants are contacted by call, SMS or WhatsApp within 10 working days.

Before you hit apply

  • Record a two-minute video explaining one tough concept; it often gets you booked faster than a CV.
  • Lead with your own mark in the subject, such as "Maths 89% (NSC)"; tutoring agencies filter by marks.
