Online Tutor (Evening Shift, International Students)

Pick up afternoon or evening sessions with a matric rewrite college in Pretoria West and put your subject knowledge to work. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a matric rewrite college in Pretoria West. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
• Plan sessions that target the exact topics the learner is failing
• Teach one-on-one or in small groups of up to six
• Adjust your pace for learners with ADHD, dyslexia or anxiety
• Assess a new learner's level with a short diagnostic test

• Currently studying at university, or holding a degree or diploma
• Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor
• Clear, patient way of explaining ideas
• Available at least three afternoons or evenings a week
• Police clearance for work with minors

• Experience with IEB as well as CAPS papers
• TEFL or TESOL certificate for English tutoring

• Flexible hours you choose each week
